Fourth of July Fun

Some fun times leading up to 4th of July. The weather has been so nice lately, that it has been nice to be outside. We have gone on lots of walks, and just spent time in the backyard.

Daddy got a cheap kiddy pool to be able to sit in to cool off in the backyard. Owen's sun hat is way too big, and you can also tell he is wearing his "America 2012" shirt from Old Navy that his Grammy got him.

Mosrite had to come check it out.

Owen is just about the right size for his bumbo seat. He likes it when he is in the right mood. :) If I leave him in it too long he starts sort of leaning over and can't quite pick himself back up.

Wearing his 4th of July tie shirt Gramma made him on Sunday. (He fits perfectly between the cushions of our couch which hold him up. He seems to like sitting up next to us.)

I got this shirt with my mom from Kohl's what seems like forever ago! It seemed so big at the time, but it fit him pretty well now.

Aunt Kate came!

Of course had to have our annual party! Kind of hard to believe it is the 4th year in the row we have done it! It was kind of wierd, though, with the day falling on a Wednesday and we all have worship on Wednesday nights until 8. We decided to have it just be dessert, and if everyone hurried to our house we would have time to eat dessert before watching the fireworks.

I didn't get too many pictures because it was dark, and because Owen got really upset as everyone started arriving. He can be hard to predict, but we honestly wondered if he knew it was bedtime and why are all these people at my house? He calmed down and then slept the whole rest of the party in the moby wrap. I was nervous about after the party trying to get him to go to bed, but he went right to sleep and slept til morning! Anyway, I saw a glimpse into my future of Owen, Daddy and Pops wanting to hide together in the garage during parties... :)



I am glad we had the party to keep up the tradition, and look forward to it being more back to normal next year!
