Plus, I just like playing with my camera. There were a lot of lights and colors in the place and it was fun trying to capture them. 
We left for Fresno on Friday for Tammy's suprise birthday party on Saturday. The lovely Rick and Sue Kerns threw the party at their house, and man was it hard throwing Tammy off of the scent! The ruse was that John, JD and Justin would go out to lunch while me, Kelly and Tammy went to a jewelry party at Sue's house. She kept insisting that we didn't have to go, that we should do something for John's birthday instead. We managed to get her out of the house and took a spontaneous trip to the Tulare Outlet mall while everyone was getting the party set up. When we pulled up, she was very surprised to see everyone there! They were nice enough to include John in the festivities, since it actually fell on his birthday.
After the party Dennis and Peggy, Nick, Melissa, Chris and Tyler and Jon Bradford came back to the house for music and chatting. It was a nice evening!
PS I am super bummed that there are no pictures of my birthday present to John, which was supposed to take place on Thursday night! About a month ago I bought him tickets to see Tom Petty in Irvine, and it was going to work out perfectly, going to the concert right before we left to go to Fresno. Then we got an email that the tour dates were changed, so the concert is not until October. Our tickets are still good, so we will celebrate his birthday again in October!
